What is Beta Club?
The Junior National Beta Club is a Division II Beta Club leadership program that spans from grade 6 to 8 at Barret. To be inducted into Beta Club, students must achieve and maintain a 3.8 grade point average. They must also have an "S" in behavior for all classes. The object of the program is to teach students the importance of leadership and community service while also maintaining academic proficiency.
Why Beta Club?
Not only can Beta Club teach students valuable lessons and skills, but it also looks good on high school and college applications. It shows that the student knows how to do both academic achievement and community service, which is a good message to schools. Beta Club also provides students with unique experiences which can influence career choice and show students what they are good at.
